Christmas Day!

Elizabeth & Giselle!
Jerry & Giselle!

Giselle & Grand Mare, and her birthday cake!

The family, minus Sam!

I tried to take multiple pictures of the kids with Great Grandparents Zobro, but they were just not having it! I had gotten Giselle a dress that I wanted to get her last year, but thought it was to much. And then I seen it this year at the Outlets and it was half price of what it was last year! And for Sam, I had found his a cowboy, horse and lasso vest that he just loves so we made it his Christmas vest!

Sam excited about his new barn!

Giselle investigating her new pajamas!

Well, it was really Christmas Eve, due to the fact that I had to work Christmas and the weekend after! But never the less, after the kids had went to bed the night before, we put all the gifts under the tree. We have decided to adopt the tradition that Nana & Papa's neighbor has done, she gives her kids 3 gift just like the wise man brought 3 gifts to baby Jesus! Nana & Papa have done this for a couple of years now, and it is really nice, because after all Christmas is so much more than just gifts! I love the way Sam open his gifts, he opens it and is so excited he gives it his full attention. He would just be set with that one gift. So about 30 minutes later, we give him another one. Giselle on the other had, loves to make a mess, so she opens the gift plays with it and then comes back to rip more paper and continues to make a bigger mess! LOL! After we open our gifts, we relaxed at home and let the kids play with their toys then, off to church. Sam loved that they had a stable, so we went to visit it about half a dozen times. He even stole some Hay to bring home for his new barn (this was Nana's idea)! We even got to see Santa, he came to church to say a prayer before his big adventure at night! Then it was off to the Myers to celebrate Christ's birthday and Grandma Mare's Birthday! But the night was still not done, we then went over to Tia Chela for some oh so good tamales! We ended up getting home a little before midnight!
Merry Christmas to all!

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!

All season, the kids have been watching the classical movie "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and have loved it. So we thought, what a Great idea to go to Rivertown and let them see the animations and get their pictures taken with Santa, and their Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer theme setting. Not so much, as you can see. Mike was so embarrassed and all I could do was laugh, it was a CLASSIC moment. SO here is our 2009 Christmas picture was Santa & the kids!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

The photo shoot started out OK, I couldn't get Rockne to join us to save my life though. He usually does pretty good, but saw both kids and opted not to participate. It only took 2 minutes until they were done!
On a much greater note, we have decided to go cold turkey and take Samuel off of the diaper. We will have to see how he adapts, but he has left us no choice. We have used cheerios, gummy, goldfish crackers and so much more. And still, he refused to use the toilet, but we came to a conclusion, he hates being wet or dirty, therefore we believe this will force him stop using a diaper and use a toilet! We will keep you up to date, but have faith in us, because we are going to need it.

Christmas time is here!

A little update on the Myers Household, Sam is now into cooking, anything and everything. Giselle, not so much, she would rather eat, than cook! They make a perfect pair. Sammy is very neat and proper and Giselle is always a disaster! There seriously has not been a day go by that Giselle Myers has NOT cried! All in a days work for a Princess, though! Sammy is talking in complete sentences and is able to count! He also, can read the book "Brown Bear", which Giselle enjoys very much! They are pretty content if I buy one child something and not the other, unless it is food! They are constantly fighting over snacks, we have to give them each their own. Sammy's diet is still very restricted because he chooses it to be, his current favorite food would be "abuelo's rice", bacon, sweet potatoes, and corn tortillas and Giselle eats everything under the moon, but loves waffles! Sammy is a miniature Mike and Giselle is me! Each morning, Sam comes over to our room to cuddle for a few more hours and Giselle would just rather just wake up and go! They are in love with their fleece pajamas and can't get enough of them. Sometimes, when I get home from work they are still in them, I tell ya, with their father they could get away with anything! Sammy is still in love with horses and Giselle with shoes, purses and everything glittering. Giselle has discovered the word "NO" & "CAUSE", and abuses them to the full extent. We are working on potty training both of them. I am happy to say Giselle does on occasion tell us when she has to go caca but for Sam, he says he will start "tomorrow". Well, tomorrow never comes. Even though the dog might drive Mike crazy, the kids love him to pieces and are constantly keeping each other entertained. The other day Rockne chased a squirrel on our deck for about 10 minutes. Priceless! They have both really gotten into the Holiday Spirit! Enjoying it's wonders and beauty!

HO HO HO... Santa... Coming!

Sam cutting the string around the Christmas tree!

This miniature pony name was, Rocco, Sam's favorite!

And this pony was, Estella, she is due to give birth this Spring!

They had miniature everything, pot belly pigs, goats and ponies! The kids just loved them!!!

Papa, Anna & the kids with the Christmas tree Anna opted not to get, after poor Papa had cut it down! ! LOL!

The entire Oates clan with the kids!

I love this picture, the Oates are posing for a picture while Jerry is cutting the tree down all by himself!

Aunt Cake watching Jerry cut down the tree!

Us, and our Christmas tree, that Sammy and Giselle picked out! Poor Rockne, but we opt not to bring him because he goes crazy with the all the different smells of the wilderness, it is just best! Trust me!

Princess Giselle!
So we have were caroling on the car ride and singing the infamous song "Santa Claus is coming to town" and Giselle decided to make here own version and sing... "HO HO HO ..... Santa... COMING"! It is so classic, because she does it so straight face and yells it with her deep voice!

Sam is a Genius!

For some time now our little Sammy has been obsessed with making sure everything is in order! The other day, Mike was in the kitchen finishing washing the dishes, when he noticed that Sam & Giselle were no where to be found. He found himself walking into a line of Diapers Sammy made, it went from his room to Giselle's! If you look closely enough, they are all lined up right side up, from the top of the diaper to the bottom connecting at each point. We are consistently amazed with how he lines up the horses, from biggest to smallest, etc... He loves puzzles, counting and organizing toys. So, we have come to the conclusion that Sam is a Genius and we couldn't be prouder parents!!
